Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) also commonly referred to as occupational health and safety (OHS) or workplace health and safety (WHS) is an area concerned with the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in work or employment. The goals of occupational safety and health programs include fostering a safe and healthy work environment. OSH may also protect co-workers, family members, employers, customers and many others who might be affected by the workplace environment.

AIM OF STUDY
The Diploma in OSH is a three year program with 92 credit hours. To provide students with the basic education in sciences, students will learn Chemistry, Basic Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Biomechanics, Neuroscience and Biology Cell. As to strengthen the knowledge on safety, the subject of Industrial Safety, Basic Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Management of Violence at Workplace, Organizational Behavior, Ergonomics, Health Risk Assessment, Management of Fire Prevention at Workplace and Management of Hazardous Waste are taught. Industrial training and site visit for every semester are constructed within the syllabus to ensure students are occupied with hands-on of equipment techniques.
As a DOSH graduates, they may work as a Safety Officer in all of the industries since the position is stated in OSHA 1994. Mainly on high demands in oil and gas, construction sites, factories/ manufacturing, petrochemical industries, hi-rise companies as well as small companies that prioritize on safety aspects.
